GJ’s Landscape and Civil was engaged directly by FDC Construction (NSW) Pty Ltd to deliver the landscaping to one of Sydney’s newest museums, situated in one of the world’s top ranked Universities.
The museum was designed to share the University of Sydney’s vast collections with the broader community. From ancient Rome, Greece and Egypt, to the art of First Nations people, and the works of leading contemporary artists, the Chau Chak Wing Museum is open to all as a centre of cultural and artistic excellence.
Key improvements included:
- Fresh new landscaping to over 3000m2
- Bespoke timber curved bench seat
- Endemic plant species to the Sydney region incorporated with Gadigal translations, including edible species. Interpretative signage of plants to encourage educational activities and to draw on visitors’ interest in indigenous culture
- Installation of an 800L Ficus rubiginosa
